Fire Stopping and Compartmentation

Fire stopping helps restrict the movement of fire and smoke through openings created for cables, pipes, ducts and other building services.

We inspect and remediate unsealed penetrations, incomplete compartment walls, damaged fire-rated construction and unsuitable previous repairs. Appropriate tested systems are selected for the type of service, opening and surrounding construction.

Completed installations can be recorded using photographs, location references, product information and identification labels.

Fire Doors

Our fire-door services include inspection, adjustment, repair and replacement of fire-rated doors and complete door sets.

Remedial work can cover frames, hinges, closers, locks, glazing, intumescent strips, smoke seals, signage and excessive gaps. Where a door cannot be brought to the required standard through repair, replacement can be recommended.

Alarms, Emergency Lighting and Sprinklers

We coordinate active fire-protection systems including fire alarms, smoke and heat detection, manual call points, sounders, emergency lighting and exit signs.

Sprinkler services can include alterations following layout changes, installation coordination, testing and commissioning by appropriately competent specialists.

Surveys and Remedial Programmes

Fire-protection works can be completed following a fire-risk assessment, compartmentation survey, fire-door inspection or refurbishment.

Projects can be phased around occupied properties, with out-of-hours working arranged where appropriate. Handover information and applicable certification are provided for the completed scope
