KD Maintenance provides commercial steelwork fabrication, installation, repair and strengthening for refurbishment projects, industrial facilities, managed properties and new developments.

Our steelwork teams operate across London and the South East, with nationwide support available for larger projects and multi-site programmes. We coordinate projects from the initial survey and design information through to fabrication, protective treatment, delivery and installation.

Bespoke Fabrication and Installation

Steel components can be fabricated from approved drawings, project specifications or verified site measurements.

Our installation service includes delivery planning, lifting coordination, bolted connections, welding and final inspection. Restricted-access projects can use smaller fabricated sections and site connections where complete components cannot be brought into the building.

Structural work is completed from appropriate engineering information. We can work with the client’s structural engineer or coordinate specialist design input where required.

Specialist Remedial Steelwork

Existing steelwork can deteriorate through corrosion, impact damage, failed coatings, water exposure or altered loading.

Remedial works can include corrosion removal, replacement sections, plate strengthening, connection repairs, bolt replacement, column-base repairs and protective coating systems. Temporary support may be required while load-bearing steel is repaired or replaced.

Where water ingress has caused corrosion, the source should be corrected as part of the wider repair.

Finishes and Fire Protection

Steelwork can be supplied painted, galvanised or in stainless steel, depending on its use and environment. Intumescent coatings or fire-resistant boarding can also be coordinated where structural fire protection is required.
